Have you ever noticed that the most a businessman will bring to the meeting is generally a phone and a pad of paper (or maybe a laptop)? By contrast, it’s not unusual to see a businesswoman haul in a shoulder bag, a briefcase, an armful of files, a purse and a phone. No biggie? Actually, biggie. That’s just one of the many insights incorporated into our Confident Speaking for Women course that offers wisdom from over a dozen interviews with highly successful women. Here’s another gem. Listen to Cindy Solomon talk about being comfortable owning our successes:
In two recent blogs, “There’s Power in Women Speaking” and “Speak to Lead,” we introduced a new PowerSpeaking program in development, Confident Speaking for Women. We held three pilot programs in June and July that were standing room only; and now, we’re pleased to announce that the course has officially joined our family of programs open to the public.
Confident Speaking for Women is a highly interactive, three-hour working session designed for women rising in the organization. Through video clips, inspiring stories, practice sessions and discussion, you will learn where your strengths are and where you can improve as a communicator. At the end of the workshop, you will walk away with an informed action plan to become more clear, confident and courageous in your communications—and ultimately, as a leader.
